Some of you may be wondering what's up with the new ad-bar? Unlike the top ad-bar, when someone clicks a link on the lower ad-bar a little money gets put toward these forums. Also, I'm attempting to maximize the potential income of this ad-bar. To this end, if you see a message like this in all four ad slots, please report it to me one way or another. Now then, some ground rules about the ads. The following are not permitted: - Continuous clicks on the same ad.
- Continuous clicks on each of the ads in the same ad block.
- Clicks generated by automated scripts.
Should you legitimately accidentally double-click an ad link nothing bad will come to you or me, so don't be afraid to click when you see a useful ad. Alright then, on to the last topic. "Where exactly does the money go? I mean, isn't Proboards free?" To answer that, basic service on proboards is entirely free. However, Proboards also provides some pay services. For every $2.00 income per month, I can add 20MB of upload space to the boards, so you'll be able to directly upload custom avatars, share files and whatnot. Also, for $7.00 per month I can rid us of the confusing top ad-bar, since the bottom bar is the only one which affects these forums directly. Thus far, it looks like we will hit these goals without any coaxing from me.

I would go for removing the top ad bar, there are already free file hosts. Why go for storage that you can already use for free.

Eh. I was just thinking that I could allow folks to upload forums related junk on the forums, rather than messing with links and whatnot. Anyway, I see you got a new avatar.

OK, the crummy ad-thing is back. As it turns out, they've reworked some fo the stuff so that we should get at least as much this way as any other. Also, hopefully it'll be a little less broken.

Death to the ad-thing that screws up the boards for most of you! It wasn't generating any revenue anyway, so I killed it... The google ads will remain unless someone feels like donating the $7.00 per month.
